Emily is recovering very well.

We had quite the day on Friday. It started at 8:25 am when I slammed her poor little hand in the car door. I was dropping the kids off at school......

The clinic here in town sent us on to Fargo saying her fingers were broke and we needed to see a hand specialist. So we sat in the ER from 11 am to about 5:00pm. when they took her in for surgery. Her surgery lasted two hours. And she was in recovery for another hour before they sent her to her own room upstairs in the hospital. Poor little baby! She's been such a good trooper about this.
Any suggestion on how to get those sticky things off of her chest?
Emily goes in tomorrow for her post op check up.....and they hope that she will get the pins ( rods ?) our by January 12. Luckily the bones didn't puncture thru the skin so the healing should go much faster and better than if it had been the worst....
She has mom making chocolate malts for breakfast and dad running for popscicles in the middle of blizzard weather.....no it wasn't her tonsils that were affected.....we just wanted to make sure she was happy. :)
They gave us a prescription for pain meds on Friday and today (Monday) is the first day she has said her hand hurt.
She went to school today..... she missed all her little friends, and the way it looked when I dropped her off, they missed her too.

A hunting he will go Part 2

One would think the squirrel must have been eating the "sunflowers" to have been as big as he was. and NO I did not let Matt talk me into eating it! LOL

A hunting he will go!

Mavericks first"kill". Poor squirrel. His dad was so proud! Me......just thinks hunting is dangerous! :) Mavericks used Matt's 22 (whatever that means)
Matt's friend Kelly, said it looked more like a fox than a squirrel! It was as big as Maggie!

4th of July

The 4th of July was avery nice day. The weather was great! Here is Maverick devouring my pasta salad I brought out for them. Matt, Tony, Maverick , and Emily went out to the cabin on Thursday. I stayed home and went out late Friday afternoon. The way everyone dove into the pasta salad, I had to question whether Matt had fed them at all in the past 24 hours. LOL

Look at how Big she's gotten! Heavy too said Emily.
Poor Maggie, I don't know if Emily was sqeezing her too hard or if she just licked her lips when I took the picture

The Fisherman!

Hey nice fish! First Walleye of the season. 19 inches It tasted very yummy too.
Yeah, I can fish!

T Ball Attire....

Emily is definately a girly girl. She thinks she needs to wear a dress or skirt to tball. I am surprised I can get her to put on tennis shoes instead of flip flops. For last nights game 06/04/2008 at least I got her to wear a skort. (skirt/short)

Play Ball!

It's t ball season! Here is Maverick and Emily at their first game. This picture shows how "serious" Maverick is about the game.

And of course a shot of both of them....Maverick is thinking "The ball is coming right at me, get ready"
Emily is thinking....mmmmm, my hair tastes great today.
Here is Emily on first base.....ready to run.....not.

I have no idea what she's doing here.....

It's been fun watching the two play and practice. Emily is actually doing much better than I thought she would. She knows the concept of what, when, where, and how......it's just keeping her focused.

Here is Sara and Joe's puppy. His name is Oscar, and is about a month younger than Maggie. Alittle back ground on his name. His mom was Mrs. Meyer and his dads name was Wiener. == Oscar Meyer Wiener! lol.
Does she look guilty or what? Poor baby.

Maggie and Emily around the end of March 31.

Here is Emily and Maggie the first day we got Maggie. March 3, 2008.

I will get some pictures of mom's pups up later. Rosie and Rascal are 7 months old now.
